As I write this blog I am filled with many emotions, most especially of guilt and shame, because you see, this afternoon I listened to the pleas of my Catholic brothers and sisters to come and support their fight against the scandal being foisted upon us by the University of Notre Dame and our own shepherds!! I should be there with my brothers and sisters as they are led away, hands tied behind their back as the security officers of "Our Lady's" University arrest them for trying to save the lives of babies!! How ironic that on the property of OUR LADY's University people are being arrested for protecting human LIFE!! The university who bears the name of the Immaculata, the Ark of the Covenent, and The Mother of God is arresting people for the simple act of defending the teachings of Christ and His Church!!
As this travesty and scandal goes on, Bishop D'Arcy SAYS NOTHING, DOES NOTHING and his fellow Bishops across this country, all 100+ sit on their episcopal hands and act like St. Peter in the courtyard as they deny the Son of God again!!! For you see, just as the nuns taught us way back when, "it was our sins which crucified our Lord." We are crucifying Jesus everytime we fail to defend Him, to acknowledge Him, to support Him. Jesus is being crucified in every Abortion Clinic in the world, and our President, who has the power to change this, refuses and instead vigorously promotes this heinous crime against life. He has Blood on his hands, as does Notre Dame, for lifting up this murderer and honoring him.
The inaction of the Bishops is the most troubling, and the example of Bishop D'Arcy who is notably boycotting the commencement speaks of cowardice as he urges those demonstrators “to stay away from unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations against our nation's President or Notre Dame or Father John I. Jenkins, C.S.C…” I'm sorry Bishop D'Arcy but the time for quiet and polite demonstrations is over! We are at war with EVIL pure and simple and if ordinary people cannot see this, then it is up to us to show them. I have said since before Obama was elected, we must do whatever is legally possible to remove him from office and that goes for our Church leaders as well. I urge my fellow Catholics to NOT follow the example of our Bishops, but act through your Catholic conscience!! How strange, that those selected to wear the "crimson" as a sign of their willingness to shed their blood for Christ will not even lift their voices for HIM!!! The late Bishop Fulton Sheen once predicted that "it will be the laity who save the Church" and it looks like he was right, because our Lord is on trial again and the successors of the Apostles are scattered and hiding like their predecessors. "The shepherd is struck and the sheep are scattered." I agree with Randall Terry of Operation Rescue and Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life- "We must show the American people the truth about abortion through actual photos and videos" and truthful images depicting severed feet, legs, torsos, arms and Heads of aborted babies in our genocidal abortion clinics.
As I said in my opening sentence, I am ashamed that I am not there in South Bend. I sit here safe and sound at my computer and just blog away, while real Christian Witness is taking place in the Heartland of our nation. I ask God's forgiveness for my complacency and laziness.
Abortion is the ISSUE OF OUR TIME!!! In fact it is the issue of ALL TIME!! The MOST fundamental issue!!! I am a voter and I am PRO-LIFE!! I urge all of my readers to fight for the removal of Fr. Jenkins as President of Notre Dame and for the impeachment of President Obama for his abrogation of his Oath of Office in failing to preserve, protect and defend the people and Constitution of the United States of America. His incompetence and malfeasance is bankrupting this nation and imposing atheistic socialism on our people.
G.K. Chesterton once said: "Democracy isn't the people voting, democracy is the people RULING!" Let us take back our government in 2010 by voting against every congressman who votes for abortion, who voted for the bailout and who has been in Congress for more than two terms. It is time to make our nation a REPUBLIC again!!
