As most of you know, the Pope just concluded a trip to Africa: Cameroon and Angola and President Obama has just concluded a trip to Europe. The Pope’s trip was entirely ignored by the media except for his controversial condom comment that “the distribution of condoms does not help in preventing Aids but is probably making things worse.” On the other hand, President Obama’s trip to Europe was saturated with coverage, 100% of which was largely superficial, overdone and focused on things like: Michelle Obama’s “beautiful arms” and her embracing the Queen in an “incredible breech of etiquette." The words of Obama were secondary to the adulation bestowed on him, and rightly so, because his words were treasonous. The President spoke words of apology for all the wrongs committed by the United States over the last 60 years. The fact that his trip was an absolute failure was totally ignored and instead treated as a great success. The truth of his visit comes from the words of one observer in London who said “The era of America is over.”
What a contrast of these two world leaders. The Pope is vilified for defending his beliefs and the President is praised for criticizing the United States and selling us down the river. I don’t know about you but a meeting between the President of the United States and the World’s 20 top leaders shouldn’t end with the words: “The era of America is over.”
The Pope has spoken openly and unequivocally stated the Church’s views on the use of condoms and artificial contraception in the past but no one has ever taken the time to read and understand the Church’s stand on the subject. The Lancet (UK)- one of the world’s most prestigious medical journals stated the following regarding the Pope’s condom remarks: “the Pope had publicly distorted scientific evidence to promote Catholic doctrine on this issue" and then conveniently neglected to explain how the Pope actually distorted this evidence. You would think that the Lancet would have the journalistic honesty to produce evidence, wouldn’t you? I’m afraid that even our Scientific and Medical journals are going the way of the BBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, The New York Times and my hometown Pravda rag- The Boston Globe. They don’t report news; they report their views on the news and they will distort or ignore the facts to make their liberal, leftwing points. The truth of the matter regarding the Pope’s words is that he is absolutely correct. The Church sees the Aids crisis as a result of the breakdown of families, marriages and a mentality which divorces sex from love. The Church is promoting fidelity and monogamous relationships. Where is the scientific distortion? Condoms and their use promotes an idea of false confidence in which people feel that they have protected themselves and therefore are safe to perform any type of sexual activity. Monogamy and fidelity greatly reduces the chances of spreading any sexually transmitted disease. This is nothing but common sense.
There is one nation in Africa which has successfully turned the tide of the Aids epidemic- Uganda. Uganda, has implemented an abstinence campaign that has been so successful that the HIV transmission rates have dropped from 18% to 7%. These statistics come from the United Nations, which incredibly is not happy to see such success:
UNITED NATIONS, October 13, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The United Nations' envoy to Africa, Canadian Stephen Lewis, is highly critical of an abstinence campaign that has downplayed the role of condoms but been hugely successful at reducing HIV transmission in Uganda. Population Researcher Institute's Joseph A. D'Agostino suggests that the success in combating AIDS in Uganda "isn't good enough for UN officials, whose love affair with condoms knows no bounds, and who are also angry with America for funding her own AIDS initiative in Africa instead of giving the money to them."
The Washington DC Public School system had a similar success story with a popular Abstinence program lasting 5 years until the Democrat Congress refused to fund the program in 2007.
The situation we have here is that the scientific community no longer holds to its own credo of scientific thought relying on evidence but has sold its soul to the special interests of the Left and the Evil One. As we have divorced sex from love, we have divorced ethics from science, politics, and all things secular. We now have a President authorizing the killing of human embryos to advance scientific research. President Obama would allow the creation of a human life for the expressed purpose of destroying it or making it suffer so that another person or persons may derive the benefit. He is praised as Savior and the Pope is vilified as a murderer. What is happening to our country and our world?

- Multi-billion dollar Bills are signed and the President tells Congress: "You don't have time to read the bill"
- The Secretary of the Treasury is "open" to getting rid of the US Dollar
- Congress is discussing a bill which would authorize the Federal Govt to decided the salaries of American Workers
- Removing the secret ballot in Union Voting
- A group like ACORN is authorized to received Two Billion Dollars in taxpayer money
- Why is the White House taking control of the Census Bureau
- Why? Why? Why?
