Today has been an unusual day for me, but in a good way. I discovered two things about myself: First, I may be an extremist and second, I am not alone and hopefully in the majority. I don't really know how to take the first but I am certainly encouraged by the second. As many of you know already, I am a Catholic and proudly so! I love being a Catholic! This weekend I spoke with some friends of mine and we vented and shared our fears and hopes as the Presidential Election comes to a conclusion. We are definitely approaching a crossroads for our nation and the prospect of an Obama Presidency is frightening, VERY FRIGHTENING! I cannot emphasize enough what the consequences of his election would be-Socialism, Loss of Liberty & Security and the triumph of the Culture of Death.
I am utterly astonished at the lack of concern by practicing Catholics in my parish and probably in many other parishes around Boston and the United States on the positions and associations held by Sen.Obama. Many Catholics who actually go to Mass are willing to overlook the following of Sen. Obama:
- Sen. Obama's defense of DENYING life-saving medical treatment to infants who've survived an abortion.
- Fully supports Homosexual Marriage in all 50 states
- Fully supports "Right to Die" legislation
- Fully supports EMBRYONIC Stem Cell Research
- Continued friendship with unrepentant Terrrorist Bill Ayers
- 20 year attendance and relationship with Racist Pastor Rev. Wright and his Trinity Church of Christ
- Sen.Obama's signed pledge to Black Liberation Theology which espouses hatred and destruction of White Americans- not to mention Slave Reparations
- Association with ACORN(a suspect voter registration group): Sen.Obama was a trainer and Attorney for ACORN. The Obama campaign donated $832.000 dollars under the false cover of "Staging & Lighting" which in fact went directly to Voter Registration efforts. ACORN is being investigated in over 12 states for Voter Registration Fraud
- Association with Anthony Rezco- A Chicago con-artist, criminal and slumlord. He scammed many elderly (most minorities) of life savings and was defended by Sen. Obama as his attorney
- Fannie Mae President Franklyn Raines was economic advisor to Sen. Obama's Campaign (Has since resigned), Sen. Obama received over $100,000 in kickbacks from Fannie Mae
- A member of Sen. Obama's advisory council is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood (An Islamic extremist organization including Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaeda) This person has also resigned.
- Supports Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants and open borders
- Opposes English as the official language
- He refuses to want to WIN the War on Terror
- He refused to fund our Troops for political reasons
- He puts Party before Country
Sen. Obama's associations alone are cause for concern. Do not these associations speak of character and moral judgement? Do character and moral judgement even matter anymore? ACORN is determined to disrupt and undermine free elections in this country but Sen. Obama's close association with this group is barely mentioned and any questioning of it labels the questioner a "racist'.
It is very hard for me to understand that because I find fault with Sen. Obama on the matters stated above I am somehow become un-Christian and Racist. Am I living in a "Bizzaro World"? I guess I haven't understood my faith well enough to sufficiently divorce my faith from my public life as soon as I walk out the church door, like more accomplished Catholics like, Sen. Kennedy, Sen. Kerry, Sen. BIDEN, Nancy Pelosi, etc..They have managed to maintain their Catholic image even while Holy Eucharist is being denied them or at least threatened to do so by some Catholic Bishops. Our Lord has asked us to be "The Light of the World, and the Salt of the Earth" and "to do unto the least.." How can I do these things and not oppose the evil that Barack Obama and the Democrat Party promotes? It is my own Catholic Faith which compels me to fight these evils. I do not oppose Sen. Obama because of his race.
I oppose Sen. Obama because he supports tke killing of the unborn and the terminally ill and helpless,
I oppose Sen. Obama because he promotes a disordered view of marriage and family.
I oppose Sen. Obama because he will not salute the flag, or say the Pledge of Allegiance.
I oppose Sen. Obama because he does not want to WIN the war on terror
I oppose Sen. Obama because he will not defend the Constitution of the United States
I oppose Sen. Obama because he will not defend and support Israel- one of our only allies in the most volatile regions of the world
I oppose Sen. Obama becasue he supports ACORN which is dedicated to disrupting our most precious RIGHT TO VOTE
I oppose Sen. Obama because he is a RACIST and will not disavow his association with a Racist Church, with a Racist Pastor and promotes a Racist Spirituality called "Black Liberation Theology"
Where are the voices from our parish priests? I haven't heard a Pro-Life sermon from my parish priest in over 20 years. Where are the voices of our Bishops who are to be our shepherds? Why is the fear of parishioner attendance silencing the voices of pastors? The Truth, The Gospel must be preached in season and out of season. I would rather be a member of a FAITHFUL Church than a member of a popular, feel-good Church. It was Fear which brought scandal to the Church and it is Fear which silences our Churches to preaching the TRUTH. We live in a state-Massachusetts, with a very large Catholic presence. Why is it that we have the most liberal abortion laws and legalized Homosexual Marriage? The answer is FEAR and it is the fear of the clergy and laity to speak the Truth. Jesus said that "because of your luke-warmness, I will spit you out." Well, I refuse to be labeled "luke-warm" and I will speak out because it wells up within me and the frustration and pain which I see around me compels me to speak out.
Am I an Extremist because I can't vote for this man? Am I an Extremist because my Catholic Faith actually follows me out the Church Door after Mass on Sunday? Am I an Extremist because I take seriously the words of Jesus Christ when he tells me "to do unto the least" amd that I am actually doing it unto my Lord? Am I an Extremist because I believe that abortion kills a baby and to promote such a thing is sinful and should be fought with every ounce of strength in my body? Am I an Extremist because I love my country and believe that the words "under God" are to be preserved? Am I an Extremist because I want to fight and win the war against Islamic Terrorism? Am I an Extremist because I take the words of The Declaration of Independenc: The right to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS to heart?
I am asking for all "EXTREMISTS" to come follow me and speak the TRUTH about our Catholic Faith and speak the TRUTH about Sen. Barack Hussein Obama before it's too late.
